Dear Sir,
According to MEAD documentation, "If you don't have a Perl module
installed, MEAD's install script will automatically install a copy that
only it can use." That means that I can install MEAD without external
modules being installed in advance.
So I execute "Perl Install.PL" to install MEAD directly. Some error
information is reported during the installation process. For example,
/usr/ucb/cc: language optional software package not installed.
Make: Fatal error: Command failed for target "Iconv.o'.
But finally, it is reported that "MEAD installation successful".
But when I summarize the provided example data GA3 using
./mead.pl GA3
Many errors happen:
Can't locate loadable object for module XML: Parser:: Expat in @INC
(@INC contains: /opt1/mead/bin/../lib /opt1/mead/bin/../lib/arch ...) at
/opt1/mead/bin/../lib/XML/Parser.pm line 15
Compilation failed in require at /opt1/mead/bin.../lib/XMl/Parser.pm
line 16
Compilation failed in require at /opt1/mead/bin/../lib/MEAD/cluster.pm
line 16
That means, I have to install the external modules before I install
MEAD? Or other reasons for the above errors?
Thanks a lot
