Systems (IIS) is seeking qualified applicants for=20
the position of Program Director in the area of=20
Social Informatics. Social Informatics is the=20
study of the design, uses, and consequences of IT,=20
paying particular attention to the institutional=20
and cultural contexts of the IT. Research focuses=20
on inter-relationships among people, their=20
institutional and cultural contexts, and their=20
uses of information and communications=20
technologies. Applicants should display leadership=20
in the area of Social Informatics and have an=20
interdisciplinary background in the Computer=20
Information Sciences and the Social, Behavioral,=20

Appointment to this position will be on a one or=20
two year assignment, under the terms of the=20
Intergovernmental Personnel Act with a salary=20
range of $91,407 to $142,449. Applicants must have=20
a Ph.D. or equivalent experience in Science and=20
Engineering Informatics or comparable field of=20
science. In addition, six or more years of=20
successful research, research administration,=20
and/or managerial experience are required.
